Furnished apartments Berlin
Furnished apartments in Berlin usually come with a catch: either nightly rates that make a three-month stay absurd, or a landlord who wants a German credit report, three months' deposit and a guarantor before handing over an unfurnished shell.
We rent furnished the way people actually need it. Two houses: STACEY Mitte on the Fischerinsel between Museum Island and Alexanderplatz, STACEY Moabit on Stromstraße with 60 rooms and a garden. You can take a private room in a shared flat, or a studio with its own bathroom and kitchen.
Everything is in place when you arrive. Bed, bedding, desk, wardrobe and lamps in the room; kitchen, dishes and bathroom in the flat. One monthly rate covers furniture, heating, electricity, water, fast WiFi and weekly cleaning of the common areas. No utility bills arriving three months later, no furniture to buy and resell.
Rent, furniture, heating, electricity, water, WiFi and cleaning of the common areas go out as one monthly payment. No annual utility reconciliation, no surprise bill in spring.
The two things most Berlin landlords demand from newcomers, we do not ask for. Instead a security payment of two months' rent, returned in full when you leave.
You get the Wohnungsgeberbestätigung before you move in. Many furnished listings in Berlin do not allow registration at all, which blocks your tax ID and your bank account.
A room in a shared flat starts noticeably lower than a studio. Both come fully furnished and connected; the difference is how much you share, not how well it is equipped.
Most of what we rent in Berlin is a private room in a shared flat: in Mitte you share bathroom and kitchen with exactly one other room, in Moabit with two. Only the studios in Mitte are self-contained apartments with everything to yourself, and they cost several hundred euros more. If you need a front door nobody else uses, take a studio. If you want the lower rent and do not mind one housemate, take the room. Both are furnished the same way.
In the room: bed with mattress and bedding, desk and chair, wardrobe, bedside table and lighting. In the flat: a fitted kitchen with hob, oven, fridge and dishes, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Each room card lists the exact contents, and the photos show real rooms rather than renderings.
In Berlin, the studios in Mitte are the closest thing: a self-contained flat of 30 to 38 square metres with private bathroom, kitchen and entrance. We do not rent larger family apartments. For anything bigger than a studio, a regular furnished-rental platform is the better place to look.
As soon as a room is free. The location pages show live availability with exact dates, booking takes about ten minutes online, and a move-in within the same week is normal when something is available. Most members book before they arrive in Germany.
Three months. After that the lease is open-ended with three months' notice. We deliberately do not do nightly or weekly stays in Berlin; for those, a serviced apartment is the right product.
Your own laundry, which runs through the WeWash machines in the building, the German broadcasting fee that every household pays, and your groceries and toiletries. The security payment of two months' rent is not a cost: it comes back in full after you leave if nothing is damaged and nothing is open.
